Just been tweeted/retweeted by Laura Bliss but I can't find a link to an article.

Good news - but why on earth didn't they do this in the first place - it must have been a very minor mod.

    That is nearly 10% less!

Must be more than just a retest of the same car, unless they have a new tester who knows how to get a good score...

Originally they promised one with better emissions, but I was expecting less power to go with it?

Good news anyway, now where is the press release! Smile

Your headline says everything that is needed, with that headline fed into an RSS feed it could pop up scrolling across the top of all sorts of websites with zero effort!   Somebody might even think, "Now that might be a competitor for the Ford Mondeo I was about to get as a company car - Same emissions, same tax..."

Was about to say that Google will have it soon since you have unknowingly added it to our RSS: http://www.mguk.org/rss , however Ling beat us to it: http://www.lingscars.com/blog/2013/10/07/news-not-nose-mg-motor-bloody-annoying-blitish-limited-mg-reduces-co2-emissions-on-diesel-mg6-to-just-129g-km/ Embarassed

Simon from the Sales Centre told me last week that they knew they had made this reduction but that it was not yet officially being mentioned...

Are they letting Motorpoint sell all the old spec cars before letting anyone know that they were old spec cars or something of the sort?

Anyway, if you post something on a company twitter feed then it becomes official and global public knowledge if you intended it to or not, whatever it is about...

MG6 Diesel emissions down to 129g/Km Empty Motor Point MG sales

Motor point seem to be doing a good job selling MG6 cars.

Not long ago they had 88 MG6's in stock, now they have 53.

Keep up the good work. Has anyone who ordered the MG3

had a delivery date yet? Just curious.

    no two ways about that!

This reads like a press release. Wonder what the source is? (not posted as press release)

    http://www.ilovemg.org/?p=1679&fb_source=pubv1

MG Motor is pleased to announce an improvement on CO2 figures from 139g/km to just 129g/km for the MG6 GT and Magnette Diesel variants.

This decrease in emissions drops the BIK band to 20%, resulting in a monthly tax bill of only £56.47 per month for a MG6 DTi-TECH GT S. The decrease in emissions also lowers the VED band for all MG6 Diesels from group E to a group D.

Despite improved emissions and fuel consumption, there is no change to the performance of the MG6 DTi-TECH, which still delivers a 150PS, 350NM diesel engine linked to a six-speed manual gearbox, a combination that provides a 0-60mph time of 8.9s, excellent in gear acceleration and punchy performance overall.

The decrease in emissions and current Q4 offers will see the MG6 Diesel become an attractive prospect for customers and fleet managers alike, an already exceptional level of spec is now better than ever with free upgrades on all Diesel specifications until 31 December.

Launched in 2012, the MG6 GT DTi-TECH boasts an impressive equipment list whilst retaining an affordable list price, starting at just £16,995. Under the current offers customers automatically upgrade from an S variant to an SE, benefiting from a saving of £1,200 and receiving additional equipment such as satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, cruise control and leather steering wheel. Building on the SE trim, the TSE now offers a saving of £2,000 and features front parking sensors, 18” alloy wheels, rear parking camera, leather trim, Bluetooth, automatic headlights, automatic windscreen wipers and electric heated seats. Magnette customers will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to an MG6 GT SE, saving £3,000.
