    January Sales

    A return to normal figures after December, most models have still done better than in November but the overall score is down a little.

    Interesting that both China and UK trends are turning upwards.

    oh no, your data labels are playing up!

    As for the table of monthly sales figures, can you please keep YTD ones as well?

    I also note that the key model is the 350 which accounts for over half total sales.

    Only six MG7s - it's selling like the ZT was in 2007! Wink wonder when the last one left the production line?

    Not sure I understand that comment unless you are looking at NZ which although the data has been published, it looks like MG may have missed the deadline, unlike some other brands they don't even have "0"!

    I think he means the chart - the labels say series 1, series 2 etc instead of the models/labels.

    I don't think SAIC are too concerned by market share, they could probably have gained it by building a new 1.5 NSE factory but instead they have built a new NLE factory and are close to completing the SGE factory - they are building a sustainable future while others may well find themselves with excess, outdated and thus unprofitable production capability in a year or two.

    March Sales

    Sales are back on the rolling average line as they were for March last year. I wonder why the production line on the graph is down; it doesn't appear to have made up for the December sales excess...

    UK sales have overtaken Chile sales!

    New Zealand had record MG sales, with the help of the MG3, even though it hadn't really been launched in March.

    April Sales

    Still following last years trend, production is less than sales again.

    The E50 recently got introduced to the Beijing market, seems to have had a negative effect which has been disastrous for the years total!  scratch 

    New Zealand didn't break another record, but only because they hadn't ordered enough MG3s.  Apparently the next shipload has also sold out.

    August Sales

    Chile had a drop in sales mid summer and is now back at around record levels, the drop on the graph appears to mirror the December excess, although the logarithmic scale is slightly misleading.

    China currently has a drop in sales, I'm wondering if it is also mirroring the December excess before the start of the autumn rush?

    Maxus sales are now in excess of the MG3, in fact all MGs and all Roewes except the 350!  The G10 now has it's own trace on the graph as well as being included in the Maxus total.

    The drop in UK sales was expected due to the new registration half year starting in September.

    Those figures are disastrous! MG3 down 60% on last October, MG5 down 57% and MG6 down 71% on last year. Where has it all gone wrong?
