Re: CTCC 2014 with MG GT
Even I have to admit it's like they've put 1:43 scale wheels on a 1:18 scale car:
the picture looks real, but if they are planning for an inexpensive driver who didn't have a seat this year, the chances of replicating MG3SW's success with Li Da Wei must surely be slim.

The car could look good quite easily, it just needs bigger wheels.
Maybe we will see Plato driving one next year in BTCC - who knows.

I was thinking that - "if the 6 is a race-winner in BTCC, why re-invent the wheel?"snifferdog1 wrote:The car could look good quite easily, it just needs bigger wheels.

However, from what the 888 team were saying, the BTCC car is more like a Scalextric car with a front bit and a back bit with a bodyshell on the top...

Re: CTCC 2014 with MG GT
What's even odder about those wheels is that they highlight that the wheelhubs aren't in the centre of the wheel arch. Isn't that a bit odd? If would also indicate that maybe the wheels fitted to road cars are as big as they're going to be.
