Re: New MG5 Turbo Sport
Ungainly overhangs. Or the wheelarches are way too small. Does it drive better?

Oooh the side on shot isn't very flattering.
Other than that, I really like it. I presume its still not due for the UK?

Re: New MG5 Turbo Sport
I think the only problem with the side shot and the overhangs is the stupidly low angle we are viewing it from, from normal height it will look good.snifferdog1 wrote:Oooh the side on shot isn't very flattering.

Good to see the back more like the 5 Concept, although I'd still like the number plate moved.
Front fog lights are a big improvement, makes the ones on the current 5 look stupidly big!
No mention of the UK, I think they will want to see the success of the MG3 before making a decision.
It is not clear that these are drawings of something that will become real, but they are SAIC drawings and sort of match the sports kit available on the UK MG3.

Re: New MG5 Turbo Sport
Drawings? I thought it was a real car with blacked out windows?
If it has more power, I suppose we can assume the suspension, brakes, gearbox and steering have been worked on... in other words, it should feel like a totally different machine. A sort of MGZR versus Rover 25.
Maybe we might get it.. but, if we are going to get it, they really need to pull their finger out or it'll be written off before it goes on sale.

Don't worry, I heard ex-Rover boss Bernd Pischetsrieder is steering this project himself!*Morris Motors wrote: if we are going to get it, they really need to pull their finger out or it'll be written off before it goes on sale.
(*joke - Lord knows where he is now, no longer VW/Scania...)

Re: New MG5 Turbo Sport
Unfortunately they have only given it 135bhp I wonder if they used the worlds biggest shoehorn they could fit that 220bhp 2.0 litre turbo engine then it would really fly Clio, 208 and fiesta would have to watch there back
