The Li-ion rechargeable battery pack is manufactured by A123 Systems Inc, with which SAIC will establish a joint venture. The voltage and current capacity of the battery pack are 294V and 40Ah, respectively. Its power capacity is 11.8kWh, but only 88% of it is actually used. Therefore, the usable power capacity is 10.4kWh.

The drive range of the plug-in hybrid is 50km per charge. The life of the battery pack is about 3,600 cycles.

The power unit is made by combining the inverters of the drive motor and the motor for the ISG with a step-down DC-DC converter. The dimensions and weight of the water-cooled power unit are 340 x 278 x 160mm and 13kg, respectively.
