I note how GS + 350 are 2/3 of all sales and that GS is easily the best-selling MG or Roewe.

I also note how GS + 350 + 3 + 550 are 90% of the total - GT was a huge success when launched, but not now.

With the 360, SAIC Motor are changing a model responsible for ¼ of the entire sales of MG + Roewe...

Nice to see the Roewe 750 still being sold

Fascinating how GS is now over 3/4 of total MG sales and second MG Roewe model behind 350/360.. Both 350 and 360 have similar sales at over 5,000 each - outgoing model deals on 350?

Yes the GS is a real success in China and hopefully with also have a significant impact on UK sales. It also puts the MG6 minimal sales both in the UK and China into perspective and raises the question how long they will they keep the 6 going? I really cant see them keeping it once the 'Juke rival' is launched..

They have to sell in UK for BTCC

Yes I saw the 3 year Triple 8 contract announcement just after I posted my comment! Looks like MG6 will be with us for another three years - although some observers think the 'Juke rival' may not arrive in the UK until 2018 - so that still could be the last year for the '6.

I don't understand what SAIC is doing with MG/Roewe. If you will remove GS and 360 from sales, there will be -43% drop in both brands. They have 13 models but only 2 of them have a bright future. MG GT is a nice car, but 650 monthly sales in China is huge let down, and all other models are left alone to die? MG7 and 750 already dead, MG5, MG6, W5 have more than -70% drop.

In my opinion - if they will not do anything, MG will become a SUV brand and Roewe compact cars local brand.

I agree, GT was a runaway success in its first month and those sales are poor - but when the Golf-sized MG5 sells 15 in a month in such a huge market, something looks wrong.

Here are the sales in tabular form. Focus, Jetta and "Escort" achieved over 19k in the month and Golf was 16k!

GS and 3 *are* MG. 2/3 of all MGs sold are GS, 6,740 of 9,886. 2,313 MG3, 464 GT (once MG's high-flyer!), 353 MG6, *15* MG5, no MG7 which I think we can presume is discontinued - only six 750s sold!

Maybe just like UK MG6
Not enough choices in spec/engine ?
I love the new 5 more then 6
