This news article actually says Roewe rather than MG but from news reports in the Chinese press it seems unlikely that Roewe will be used outside China in the near future.

Pol-Mot Holding will be responsible for distribution of these models. Currently the offer of Asian producer contains two models marked by codes 550 and 750. According to the unconfirmed information, the first one has already received homologation and the second one is during the homologation process. Both of them were presented at the Agro Show Bednary 2009.

According to the unconfirmed information the prices of 550 models will start form 60 000 PLN net to 70 000 PLN net. The offer will include only one petrol engine 1.8T 160 HP firstly. Probably the version without 133 HP turbo engine will be sold as well, like it is in China. Both of them offer full equipment and the highest safety level in comparison to local competitors. The 550th was the first Chinese car model which gained five stars in C-NCAP tests. More information about this brand and models are available in archive. More information is available in archive.

History of Rover and SAIC started in 2005 when companies SAIC and Nanjing Automobile bought the technology of Brit producer. The Nanjing was found in better situation because apart from buying technology (for 53 mld pounds) bought also rights to the fallen brands MG, Austin and leased works in Longbridge. Because of the fact that both of these companies didn’t received the rights to the Rover brand (still belonging to BMW)they had to sell cars using different name. Nanjing took advantage of rights to MG logo, in turn SAIC created a new brand name Roewe at the end of 2006, with logo is seemed to Rover. In half of 2007 both of companies joined. SAIC took control on both brands, beneath which are twins models Roewe 750 and MG7.

so Chinese-made MGs are on sale in the EU!

    Pol-Mot aren't even mentioned on www.saicmg.com/ .

What with the Belarus importer being "Greenback" of Lithuania, surely we must now be in a position to get our hands on EU spare parts!
