Re: The fire breathing MG6 Sports
I guess MG have the rights to use it so no need to nick it!paynerover75 wrote:noticed the union flag/checkered flag badge nicked from mg-rover lol!!!
Mind you, it's not the old chromed plastic badge but a neat new printed one, wonder if they will put it on all UK MGs or just the extra sporty models?

That's a mean looking Roewe 550 XT parked next to it
MG6 - MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.
SAIC MG6 modified limited edition
MG6 is Shanghai Automotive consumer demand aimed for the global market, specially designed a "new benchmark car." As the first of the European and global markets as the main market design, the first in Europe to develop new models of autonomy, which led by the UK R & D design team, and the first time in the mid-size car into the field of design style to Fastback representatives of UK Design, but also brought a new car 1:1:2 ratio, with the traditional pattern of different-door hatchback sedan.

It says DVVT on the back.Steven211 wrote:That looks ace, what engine is in it?
Since I don't think they have the V6 out of prototype stage yet it must be the 1.8 non-turbo.
Mind you, with the Tein badge stuck on the back who knows (or should that be Hu knows) what the performace is like

TEchnical INnovation according to the web site www.tein.co.uk - it's originally a Japanese tuning company so maybe this is like an XPower version.paynerover75 wrote:what does tein mean???Windy wrote:It says DVVT on the back.Steven211 wrote:That looks ace, what engine is in it?

PS. I guess the roof is glass like on the Roewe N1 rather than carbon.

Re: The fire breathing MG6 Sports
judging by how shiny that roof looks it doesn't seem to be carbon fibre,Steven211 wrote:M3 cocks style roof more like, MG needs to X-Power in UKWindy wrote:TEchnical INnovation according to the web site www.tein.co.uk - it's originally a Japanese tuning company so maybe this is like an XPower version.paynerover75 wrote:what does tein mean???Windy wrote:It says DVVT on the back.Steven211 wrote:That looks ace, what engine is in it?

Re: The fire breathing MG6 Sports
They have just been taken at the Chengdu Motor Show, there are several minor motor shows in the near future, the important one though is the Guangzhou Motor Show at which the MG3 will be revealed, and maybe something else. Appears to be on Xmas day this year!paynerover75 wrote:

Checkered? lol...
Too right - wonder if this version is proof against delamination?

If the checkered flag delaminates then it will become a "slow car on track" flag!

Re: The fire breathing MG6 Sports
Wow. Very interesting, would love to see some clearer shots of it, really like the wing intakes, not too sure about the bonnet vents, the spoiler looks good too.

Looks like the Longbridge Design Studio have been busy coming up with the sporty variants...I just wonder what model or nomenclature they will use to distinguish them as sporty MGs rather than standard MGs.
