    The recent announcement of seven colours for the MG6 in the UK:

    * black - Obsidian black
    * red - Manchester City Red
    * white - white peaks

    and metallic:

    * silver - Scotland silver
    * grey - fog gray
    * blue - Lake Xinlan
    * orange - Birmingham orange

    includes three fashionably dark colours and white.

    auto, motor + sport are running reports on "what new model to buy?" including the paintwork choices in production.

    Taking the Audi Q5, we have:

    • Brilliant Black 15%
    • Daytona Grey Pearlescent 7%
    • Ice Silver Metallic 6%
    • Ibis White 17%
    • Lava Grey Pearlescent 10%
    • Phantom Black Pearlescent 23%

    - these main greys, blacks and white are around 80% with 15% other greys.

    Blue is 3% and red (the only bright "colour") a mere 1.3%, below Brown at 1.5%!

    They need to add a Biomorphic Green one to the collection sunny

    And then make the colours available on the MG5 and MG6. Although the MG6 comes from a different factory.

    Do those Audi customers have a choice or does Audi decide that only 1.3% of their cars will have any colour?

    I find it surprising how many owners of grey cars will say "That's a fantastic colour" when looking at my MG, yet they would never buy a coloured one themselves! Mine is only ignition blue too!

    MG - Be different.

    So long as the MG's grey colours assist sales.

    I really like the Birmingham Orange!
