    When is the MG6 released?

The MG6 will be in showrooms from mid April.

Where can I see the MG6?

Click here to find your local UK dealer.

When is the MG6 available for Test Drive?

    From mid April.

Can I still get a new MG TF?

MG TF is in showrooms now. No decision has been taken on future production, therefore, to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you contact your local dealer as soon as possible.

Will you produce any more MG TF’s?

No final decision has been taken on this as yet. TF has been batch built since reintroduction in 2008. Dealers currently have new car stock available for sale therefore we recommend that you visit your dealer as soon as possible.

    Is there a Saloon MG6?

Yes, the four-door version will be released in the summer.

Will there be a diesel MG6?

Yes, this will arrive in early 2012 with an all-new 1.9litre engine.

Will there be other petrol engines in the range?

This is not our current thinking, however there may be a possibility to offer different power outputs through the 1.8 Litre Tci Tech engine and we will evaluate market feedback. Click here if you would like your comments to be taken into consideration.

When will the MG3 / MG Zero concept be released?

The MG3, based on the MG Zero concept has been released in China. With the MG6 launching this year in the UK, feedback is still being drawn on the Zero concept for our market. Announcements about the UK launch of this platform will be made in due course.

What other models are in the pipeline?

MG is developing a range of passenger vehicles. All new product announcements will be made on the website, via our newsletter and at facebook.com/mgmotor.

Will there be a new Sports Car?

A sports car is part of the product plan. However this will not be produced until a range of passenger vehicles has been launched to give the company a strong base from which to grow. It is too early to discuss dates for this vehicle.

Can I buy MG in Europe?

Not at this stage. The MG TF is only available in the UK. The intention is that the MG6 will be the first new MG to be introduced into European markets in the future.

When will MG come to Europe?

We would anticipate European market openings will commence in 2012.

Will MG come to the USA?

We are aware of the huge following that MG enjoys in the USA. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the market and will consider any opportunities that might help the brand make a successful return to North America.

What happened to the proposed joint venture with Oklahoma Motors?

Following initial explorations it was concluded that the proposals were not worth pursuing.

Will MG come to Australia / South Africa / other markets?

Our current focus is on the UK launch. Several interested parties have expressed an interest in partnering MG in these markets and we will make any announcements on the website, via our newsletter and at facebook.com/mgmotor

    Who owns MG?

    SAIC, China’s largest vehicle manufacturer.

    Are MGs Chinese now?

No, all MGs are designed and engineered in the UK and cars for this market are assembled at our Birmingham site.

Did you buy MG Rover Group?

No, MG Rover Group collapsed in 2005. The group was not deemed viable as an ongoing concern by their administrators who then sought buyers for the firm’s assets. The MG Brand was the primary asset and the new company was formed after the brand and all the associated imagery and rights were purchased.

Wasn’t MG bought by a company called NAC?

Yes, NAC merged with SAIC in 2007.

    What are Roewe cars?

Roewe is SAIC’s other wholly owned brand.

Will you be selling Roewe cars in the UK?

There are no plans to introduce Roewe vehicles outside China. MG will be the brand used for international markets.

I have an MG TF (Post 2008) and I have a query, what should I do?

Your first port of call should be to contact your local MG dealer, they have equipment and support direct from the factory to offer you any help you need. If you would like to advise MG of the situation directly please Click here to send us an e-mail.

I have a problem with an MG Rover Group vehicle (pre-2008), can you help?

The vehicle diagnostic equipment for our new products has been specifically designed so that it can communicate with vehicles built by the previous company. In addition to this, all new MG dealers have an arrangement with X Part Limited, the official supplier of spare parts for all MG and Rover Group cars.

I need spare parts for an older MG, can you help?

Cars between circa 1990 and 2005: All new MG dealers have an arrangement with X Part Limited, the official supplier of spare parts for all MG and Rover Group cars. Alternatively, you can log on to www.xpart.com

Vehicles older than 1990: Parts for older vehicles may be available from X Part – www.xpart.com however, in many cases parts will not be available via this route. Click Here to go to the MG Owners Club site – they have a specialist parts business supporting classic cars.

Are spares available around the world?

X Part Limited supply parts worldwide. Log on to www.xpart.com and contact them directly for details of local outlets or availability, price and shipping enquiries.

I want to upgrade my existing MGF / TF to look like the latest car. Can I order the bumper / twist of pepper wheels / 85th anniversary stripes etc.

No, spares for these cars are available only to the owners and orders can only be placed by dealers against the specific vehicles.

I need a key / radio / emergency access code for my current MG (post 2008)

Your local dealer will be able to help you with this. There is no charge for this service.

I need a key / radio / emergency access code for my current MG or Rover (pre-2008)

You can get key / radio and emergency access codes, subject to proof of ownership, from two authorised sources. Visit either www.xpart.com or www.mgrccservices.com. Both companies apply nominal charges for the provision of information and MG Motor has no influence over this as it applies to legacy product.

I need a European certificate of conformity to register my vehicle in another country, where can I get one?

For MG TF vehicles produced after 2008, click here to contact MG directly. MG do not charge for this service. For MG or Rover Group vehicles produced before 2008, please contact www.mgrccservices.com for information. This is a chargeable service and MG Motor has no influence over this as it applies to a legacy product.

I need to get details of the original specification of my car.

For MG TF vehicles produced after 2008, click here to contact MG directly, MG do not charge for this service. For MG or Rover Group vehicles produced before 2008 contact www.mgrccservices.com for information. I have just bought an older MG (or Rover) and there is no service history, can you help?

Unfortunately not. Neither MG Motor, nor MG Rover Group previously, held centralised records for vehicle servicing.

I’d like to work for MG. Where do you advertise any vacancies?

If we have any vacancies, we put all the details on the careers section of this site. If there’s nothing that suits at the moment, come back and check again soon.

Where do I find information for members of the press?

We will shortly add a new Media Centre to this website, in the mean time, click here to e-mail Doug Wallace, our PR and Events Manager. Click here to email Doug

if you could do in these RHD markets what has been done with the 750/550/350 in the 27 countries, the RHD cars would surely be sourced from the UK...
