    MG Motor Advanced Apprenticeship Programme

    Location: Longbridge, Birmingham

    Closing date: 8th April 2012

Here at MG Motor, we have an iconic brand with a world famous past and a business with one of the most exciting futures of any automotive companies. We have started the process of launching a range of new products into the global market and need to build the team to deliver the potential of this new business. One of the key elements of this process is to encourage and develop fresh new talent within our business.

    The Scheme

MG Motor is launching a two year apprenticeship scheme which will begin in August 2012. Our apprentices will have the opportunity to work within the MG General Assembly and Sales & Marketing functions in the first year, then progress to a more enhanced level of experience within these departments in their second year.

As an apprentice at MG Motor, you can expect a unique and varied role which will allow you to put into practice the skills you will learn during your theoretical training in a real and challenging environment.

    What we offer

Prior to commencing formal apprenticeship training, all apprentices will initially undertake the Business Improvement Techniques Level 2 qualification as a base for further training during the scheme. Following successful completion of this, apprentices can follow a chosen trade pathway and undertake NVQ qualifications in either Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Customer service, IT Applications, Engineering, Business improvement techniques, Performing Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering .

Upon completion of your two year apprenticeship, you will be awarded an Advanced apprenticeship as well as your chosen NVQ qualifications. Dependent on your rate and level of success, this could potentially lead to you achieving a Higher National certificate or diploma (HNC).

The good news is alongside your training and work experience, you will get paid! In your first year, you will earn £7654, as well as be entitled to 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. You will also have access to our health cash plan.

Outstanding apprentices may have an opportunity to visit MG’s parent company in China during Year Two and also be considered for any appropriate internal vacancies upon completion.

    What we are looking for

    Qualification Entry Requirements:

A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a core Science subject.

If your initial application is successful, you will be invited to take part in an assessment centre during which your aptitude and interpersonal skills will be tested via a number of methods.

As well as looking for two academically focused individuals, MG aim to develop people who are committed to doing well and building a successful career for themselves. By becoming an MG Apprentice, you will be taking that first step outside of education and begin to ‘steer your career’

    How to Apply
