    Almost exactly one tenth of Dacia's.

    So how many sales did MG exactly get, as i do not know any sales figures. Thank's David.

    138 I think. Not bad - much better than last year.

    I dont know why people keep comparing to Dacias figures, must be because they are around the same price?!

    Its all about to change in the coming months. The MG brand is about to take off, give it another 12 months to get its dealer network

    in place. Then watch this space.

    MG is a difficult brand to compare with any other - few other brands have tried to do what MG are doing. Not only do we have to banish tempting comparisons with the MG Rover era sales volumes, it isn't really a valid criticism to compare with Dacia either. Dacia and MG offer cars styled for different sectors. Dacia currently has three basic models, MG currently has two. Dacia is sold through Renault dealerships - a network with three or four times the reach of MG, piggy-backing on the Renault infrastructure, supply chain and reputation. MG is starting from scratch. Chevrolet will be selling old stock shipped to the UK in bulk and dumped on the market.

    MG sales are increasingly very positive - 99% of these will be real, private buyers and not demo models like many of past MG6 sales, which means that they're finally getting out into private owners hands and not sitting on forecourts. This is the change they've been aiming for.
