The group consists of a number of joint venture companies plus their own independent brands Roewe and MG.
The end of 2008 saw the successful completion of the integration of the Roewe and MG brands which involved the establishment of three SAIC R & D bases in Shanghai, Nanjing and in the United Kingdom giving them the strongest R & D capability of any domestic (to china) industry enterprise.
On the production side are three major production bases at Shanghai Lingang, Shanghai Yizheng and the MG base at Nanjing Pukou.
