It is being reported that a new MG3 SW will appear at the Shanghai Motor Show, and a spy photo has been released:

I think if they keep that paint job it will be most distinctive!

Are there wheel arch extensions and stuff underneath?

Presumably if this is to be called the MG3SW, the old model will be discontinued...

Looks a bit like its been photoshopped together from several with similar but not identical paint jobs Laughing

I think it has just got some small plastic covers around the wheel arches, there are roof bars and alloy looking plates underneath. Plus it appears to have a higher ride height than the new standard MG3.

Could do with SAIC releasing some more spy photos for a slightly better look...

I think that is very likely, sales have already plumeted on the old one.

I wonder which is the better car - new or old Question

I didn't like the streetwise, it was ugly, interior was cool though, especially the two rear seats, I always called it the NVSW - notverystreetwise lol.

That version surely couldn't go rallying like that, unlike the old MG3SW. Think what changes would be needed...

looks quite aardvarky at the front there. Giving away it would be useless off-road? to my mind, the trim needs to be horizontal, there should be an option of less-obviously-useless-off-road wheels, and it should have better ground clearance. Roof rails would be good.

Have I specced the UK version?
