I hear only 9 MG6'S sold last month. I know people will have
held sales back till March, but nine sales is pathetic.
I thought at least they would promote the car this month,
but i have seen nothing.

They will be saving the advertising budget for first the BTCC and second the launch of the MG3.
9 is not very many but it is in line with the trend of a 300% - 400% increase over last years figures if Avis sales are removed. That trend suggests around 150 sales this month, although with the introduction of the Diesel I think we should expect 200+.

With people apparently avoiding the 13 plate like the plague (resale value more than being superstitious themselves) I reckon 19 for March as there is no real marketing of the petrol or diesel variants.

Yes they would - the car buying public is that vain. Fleet obviously isn't as new cars are timed at expiry of leases.

Ignoring Avis sales, January saw a year on year 443% increase and February saw a 300% increase so it was down from that point of view too.

Well whatever the percentages we're still talking peanuts...hopefully 2013 will see an improvement which is most likely to do with the launch of the 3 rather than the 6

I see the big issue as the nearest dealer being at least half-an-hour's drive away in a direction you would never go.
I think we are expecting some 20 new dealers - doubtless not until MG3 is launched!
