NZ "expecting autos by end of year"

I'm told that by year's end we should have automatics for both the MG3 and MG6, the lack of it in the otherwise very worthy latter car has been a stumbling block in terms of sales.

...and the RHD NZ market surely has much the same requirements of an auto as the UK market... there is no Chinese-spec car that can be driven away in RHD auto form, so engineering is required, but why develop only for China-supplied markets? The solution should be OK for us...

Not sure how big the market for an auto MG3 is here but a dual clutch turbo would surely go down well, I suspect end of year is a few months optimistic though.
