Longbridge about to need a new bridge! Page84_7
The river Rea being uncovered as part of the Longbridge redevelopment project.

Part of an article over on the Austin Memories website which also includes news of MG handing over a couple more buildings to the developers...

MG Motors UK Ltd have now handed back to the Developer St. Modwen the following, Dalmuir Building and also Number 2 Paint, which can be seen from the Lickey Road. This will release more land for the future redevelopment of the site.

I thought according to MG UK, Longbridge wasn't big enough for proper volume production? This wuld make it even smaller...

I don't know. It still has the two CABs, and the new paint shop.

The Dalmuir building was on the edge of the site, and probably never part of the Chinese plans. And I assume Number 2 paint contained the old paint shop that is now in China, so also not needed now.

Maybe this shows MG has decided their plans for the future and knows which bits it will and wont be using.
