MG6 at the Nanjing International Auto Show

The 2009 Nanjing International Auto Show opened it's doors on the 27th September 2009.



The 8th time the show has been held coincides with New China's 60th birthday celebrations making for an extra special festival atmosphere.



The Roewe - MG stage was on an unprecedented scale with every one of their models on show.



Appearing on display in Nanjing for the first time is the MG MG6, based on the Shanghai Automotive W261 platform, and utilizing SAIC's integrated global resources in the development of the new intermediate size model, the MG6 continues the MG brands "passion, personality and fun" brand connotation.

This is a real show with real cars.
Looks like the stand at the Nanjing show might have been organised by NAC rather than SAIC - it has good lighting for photographs instead of the SAIC LED chandeliers!

At the Nanjing Auto Show, the Shanghai Automotive booth was overflowing, it has been declared to be the most popular containing scientific and technological dynamism, fashion show performances, rich interactive events, it attracted a lot of the audience's eye.


Introducing the MG6





Roewe 550 Sport.

Apparently the Roewe 350 will be getting a 7 speed dual clutch transmission at or soon after launch next year in addition to the manual versions.

It's a shame they can't get the MG6 out in the home of MG - I need to order my lease car soon and looks like it won't be British
