Kunming Yunnei Power Co. Ltd.
Yunnei Power is a diesel engine manufacturer based in Kunming, south west China.

or if you prefer english: http://www.yunneidongli.com/gsgk1.asp
There have recently been suggestions that SAIC is about to buy Yunnei Power to obtain its diesel engine technology, however Yunnei has denied these rumours. Maybe someday a merger will take place but with Yunnei being a healthy Chinese company it seems unlikely that it will be anytime in the near future.
The interesting news is that the 1.9L diesel engine destined for the European MG6 looks to be a joint development between Yunnei and SAIC, presumably related to their current D19TCI 1.9L diesel and has been in development for the last year. They are also looking to expand the cooperation with a 1.4L diesel for SAIC-GM-Wuling use and a 0.9L for the SAIC Motor ZP11 platform (MG Zero / Roewe 150).
Yunnei is currently producing around 12,000 engines a year for the the JAC Eagle SUV and Dongfeng MPV using western production equipment which has capacity for 200,000 so already has ample capacity for supply of the SAIC diesel units.
The current D19TCI Yunnei Power Diesel Engine
The specification of the SAIC unit is likely to have significant differences to the D19TCI which has the following specification:
(1) lightweight technology: aluminum-alloy cylinder head and whole body; lightweight body design; integrated cooling and lubrication of the engine oil module; modular accessory drive system.
(2) advanced combustion technology: direct injection, common rail technology, multiple injection.
(3) advanced exhaust control technology: double and four-valve technology, intake design, tangential inlet Combinatorial design; turbocharged and intercooled; controlled EGR.
Manufacturer: Kunming Yunnei Power co., Ltd.
Engine model: D19TCI
Displacement: 1850ml
Euro emission standards: EUIII
Maximum power: 82kW/4000rpm
Max torque: 235Nm/(1800-2300) rpm
+ Power: 44.3kW/L
+ Torque: 127Nm/L
Diesel oil consumption: 7.16 L/100km
JAC Eagle SUV
For anyone wondering what Yunnei Power translates into...
云内动力 = yun nei dongli = internal cloud propulsion
which seems quite appropriate for a diesel engine manufacturer!..
