    Sam Tordoff confirmed at MG for 2014 BTCC season


    Tordoff hopes he can now challenge for the championship. "My goal for the 2014 season is to return to the BTCC for a shot at the title," he added.
    "2013 was a learning year where I gained invaluable experience, began to understand an NGTC car and adapt to the racecraft.
    "I will now return as a better driver to fight for wins and achieve consistency, which will put me much closer to the championship battle."

    I note that the race cars will be MG6s as in the previous two years.

    I wonder if someone tried to poach him, hence the delay in an announcement until now?

    He was probably just investigating his options knowing that an MG seat was going to be open to him, I don't expect his MG drive pays very well if at all, a lot of people would certainly drive the MG6 for free.

    They've had a good season, but just short of the great season it could have been.

    Both drivers have wins this year and Jason is the only driver except Turkington with a(n outside) chance of the championship.

    AFAIK Jason is not under contract for next year - I wonder what will happen?

    I think Tordoff will walk. He's not happy about his rate of failure and blames 888. One fan said "Don't worry, you'll be back next year" to which his dad (?) John responded "Wanna bet?"

    Its not only his car.
    Do miss his drive sometimes.
    If he loose 1 spot.
    It always goes backward from then.
    He loosing more spots every time then Jason in same race.
    We will see.
    If you wane win races/championships
