As a percentage of the total market, no better than the UK, and it's a much smaller market!

They have only had three dealers though, others have been waiting for the MG3 before taking MG seriously so I'm sure things will change as they have done in the UK.

Yes, it is: $19,990 for the top of the range MG3 Style, basically the same price as in the UK rounded up slightly. Same price as a base Suzuki Swift.

I've been reminded that one issue with the MG6 NZ sales is that the RHD dual clutch auto has yet to be released and New Zealanders only buy autos, even the Suzuki Swift sales are 70% automatics! I guess the RHD MG3 will need the new SGE engines with DCT before huge sales in NZ and OZ, that should encourage MG to bring them to the UK ASAP too.

Strangely the New Zealanders like their trucks and vans to have manual transmissions, hence Maxus outselling MG by 40 to 1 so far this year!

Yes they do like their autos I was out there earlier this year and the only manual hire car I had was a new Corolla aka Auris.

Nice to see a pic of MG3s sitting at Auckland harbour, with them sat next to the new Clio makes me think the 3 isn't such a small car and what good value it is!

I hope that the same dealer is selling LDV cars, they have sold 9 passenger cars (25 in 2016) and 92 commercial vehicles in May (348 in 2016). If interested, LDV sold in Australia 139 cars/vehicles in May and 625 in 2016.
