    Interesting. What diesel engines are available to them? Do they just have the one they use in the 6 (which would make for a quick car at 150bhp) or is there another they can use?

    When news of the MG6 diesel engine first appeared, the plans included a smaller version for the MG3, I've not heard anything about it since though so I've no information on how much power it would have. I guess it will be a zero tax, low power engine though...

Wang was a member of the team taking charge of the R&D of SAIC’s independent passenger vehicles. He most recently served as president of Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. from November 2009.
