The i20 Blue T-GDI is a latest-tech petrol-powered tiny turbo with a 998cc 3-cylinder petrol turbo engine and 120PS. Its 0-62 time of 9.8s is 1.1s faster than the current 3. Its test consumption was 41mpg overall which disappointed the testers - at a constant 87 legal(!) mph it does "only" 37mpg in 6th gear. The steering is light which is good for the town, less good for the motorway, and it is fun to drive between 2000 and 3000rpm like the 3. The testers regard it as a quirky alternative to the Polo which means the cabin plastics are reasonable!
Its German list price is €19,200. Given that the 90PS Fabia 1.2TSI which is only a little slower costs less fully loaded - €18k ish even before discount - that seems high.
(not sure if this is the exact model, blurb says 120 Blue T-GDI 100)
