well, presuming this is what it will look like in production, I think the question would have to be "won't it look like this?"

To my mind, the wheels are really extreme and they might want to offer a range of different options...

as for colours, nearly all in Britain are silver and grey but that red looks good. I would expect a white and a blue too...

    It does look like that!

Although the UK ones will have the steering wheel on the other side along with a few other variations.

It is an MG, MGs should have colours like Trophy Yellow, Ignition Blue, Firefrost Red.
I hope SAIC don't forget their traditional MG customers!

we need an x-power grey too. I wish there were a Primrose Yellow! (only a few hundred 75s)

The LE500 is not available in Green... the most successful colour for the RV8...hope there will be a Racing Green MG6...

I haven't worked out if it's 550 based or a size smaller, if it's smaller then the MG version will be the MG5, otherwise it's an MG6. Although I'm not convinced that an MG needs an internet browser and RSS newsfeed built in!

So if it is ZS sized does that mean it's got the ZS floor? Is the 5 scheduled to be unveiled at the show too?

As true MG fans, we need some red arrows on this picture to point us at the unveiling of the car and away from the dancer's legs! Wink

    Top photo!

Is that the MG though, the model is wearing the check type Roewe outfit, and the badge isn't very clear.

It's like the "Buzzcocks" competition to spot the drummer out of Flintlock. Is the second bloke from the left the one who stood in front of one of those car shots?

His name is Davenport. Reports that he was shot for being the black-clad supporting character you had ever heard of in La Femme Nikita were obviously exaggerated...

    Davenport, yesterday.

good spot, that may be a totally different car.

What's the badge on the steering wheel, though? I think it's octagonal - unless it's the Roewe up... Wink

I'd like to see some nice ZS style round alloy vents instead of those black plastic things that remind me of a Skoda!

Although people who have actually seen the car haven't complained so maybe they are better than they look?

They still have time to change then to round alloy ones for the MG though...

you mean the ones for internal ventilation?

The interior shown otherwise looks heavy on chrome, like the LE500, and light on wood, leather or carbon fibre...even on coloured plastic as with the Mk1 Zed options...

Yes, I did mean the internal ventilation. You don't need too much chrome or alloy, but the vents on the MKII ZS work well, whereas all those little bits in this pic just look a bit messy to me and the vents look like they might be made from thin and britle plastic! The design just doesn't quite work.

Yes, maybe especially in Vibrant Orange you can see the W261 family resemblance between the 550 and the 6.

The wheels look very similar, too.

I saw a Triumph 2000 yesterday and noted its wheels are 13-inchers!

    How times change!
